New Matrix Releases

Please be advised that the newest MySource Matrix releases - versions 3.16.12 and 3.18.5 - are now available for download from the MySource Matrix web site.

HTML Tidy binary dependency reinstated in 3.18.5 release

Please note that the PHP library for HTML Tidy is not used in the latest 3.18.5 release - a departure from previous 3.18.x releases. Therefore the HTML Tidy binary must be present and the path to this tool verified in "System Configuration" to ensure continued operation.

New Features

Metadata Field values covered under "Safe Edit"

Added to: 3.19.0 development

Changes to Metadata Field values can now be prepared in "Safe Edit" before setting an asset "Live". Previously such values would have immediate effect when applied to an asset. Metadata Field values are restored for remaining fields when "Safe Edit" is cancelled.

URL parameters support in Remap Manager

Added to: 3.19.0 development, 3.18.6 stable, 3.16.13 stable

Remap Manager now supports URLs containing parameters for remapping. URLs of the form "http://example.com/page?param=1" will be compared for an exact match. Failing this, Remap Manager will fall back to any matches by URL without parameters (ie; "http://example.com/page") before issuing an HTTP 404 (Not Found) error.

Notes:

Bug #3180 ("Oracle Search Syntax Error When Keyword Searched", reported Jul 29th by mfox) was marked as "Not a bug". This was due to the issues mentioned in the report coming about from custom code.

Bug #3201 ("metadata Ymd date - search problem", reported Aug 14th by michal) was marked as "Can not replicate". This issue could not be replicated with the information provided.

Bug #3229 ("Problem with create locations keyword and custom create form layouts", reported Sep 2nd by MargieW) was marked as "Not a bug". This was due to a misunderstanding regarding the "Logged In" bodycopy.

Bug #3241 ("An erroneous licence file renders the admin interface broken", reported Sep 5th by bdobinson) was marked as "Not a bug". Whitespace was added to the licence file in this issue, which was not introduced by Matrix.
